World Contact League Beginning this Fall 2009
The World Contact League begins this fall and will feature some of the top contact leagues across the country in 9v9 Ineligible and 8v8 Eligible. Leagues will be headlined in the NE, Mid-Atlantic, SE, Mid-West, SW, West and NW regions of the US. League news, happenings and updates will be featured weekly; along with points for the World Championship Circuit. Player and team profiles, along with standings and inside information on some of the top leagues, teams and players in national contact leagues leading into National Championship and World Championship competition will be made available to help promote both the participating leagues and the sport of flag football.
The WCL currently has leagues in every region particpating on the newly formed circuit. As the World Championship Circuit expands, the support and strength of these top leagues is paramount to the foundation and development of a national network and flag football as a whole. These leagues harbor some of the games top teams, along with up and coming teams that will headline national flag news and provide weekly updates for all flag football enthusiasts.
Participating leagues will work in unison to build the single largest flag football circuit the game has ever seen, with similar operations and support of the World Championship Circuit. Consistent flow of news, updates and happenings is vital to the success of competitive flag football and will be a catalyst in bringing contact flag football from the underground circuit to the forefront of competitive amateur sports.
