LAS VEGAS, NV – August 29, 2010 – New twist to the World Championships in 2011 will feature teams competing in the Pro Division for 8v8 Eligible and 7v7 Screen assembled with the best local players to represent their city/state to compete against the rest of the nation.

- DIVISIONS OFFERED: Pro, Open/Competitive and Recreation
FORMAT: Teams will be grouped based on region (city/state) and the top teams per pool will advance to the single elmination round following a round-robin format.

Represent Your State!
Beginning in next March 2011, the Pro Division for the World Championships (8v8 Eligible and 7v7 Screen) will be formated where State Teams will represent various states/cities.
Teams will be established by independent leagues/groups to compete in either the 8v8 Eligible or the 7v7 Screen Division!
Some states, due their size and activity, will be allowed multiple teams based on region (Ex. Texas North and Texas South)
LIMITED SPACE:
This division will have a cutoff, so all interested teams must contact the MCFFU at mcffu@mcffu.com to secure your space. (First come, first serve for 2011)
DEPOSIT:
$200 deposit and listing of coaches/managers contact information secures a spot for your team should a space be available in your state.

For the 3rd straight year, the Long Beach All-Stars out of Carson, California took the 2010 8v8 Eligible Pro World Title. Long Beach defeated New Hustle out of San Diego, California 35-18 in a shootout.

8v8 Eligible (Pro) - $495 + (ref fees)
8v8 Eligible (Competitive) - $395 + (ref fees)
8v8 Eligible (Rec) - $395 + (ref fees)
7v7 Screen (Pro) - $395 + (ref fees)
7v7 Screen (Open) - $350 + (ref fees)
5v5 (Pro) - $275 + (ref fees)
5v5 (Open) - $225 + (ref fees)

Co-Ed (Open) - $595
NOTE: Ref fees are $45 per game for all styles and $15 per game for 5v5
NOTE: Teams wishing to play multiple styles will receive a discount; please inform us of the 2 styles ASAP

(if paid AFTER this date $75 will be added to your entry fee)

World Championship format - Guaranteed 3 games (Pool Play) - Single Elimination following the Pool Play
NOTE: Pro Divisions will have a percentage of teams to advance to the single elimination rounds on Sunday (Ex. 10 out of 16 will advance - numbers will adjust according to total team entry)

COMPETITION NOTES:
The World Championships in Las Vegas, March 26-27, 2011 will feature 8-Man Eligible Contact, Women, Co-Ed and 7v7 Screen. This the 2nd of a 2-legged World Championship Series, with the 1st leg held each year on MLK Weekend (January) in Miami, FL.
The Miami World Championships will feature 9v9/8v8 Ineligible World Championships. In conjunction, there will be the 8v8, 7v7, Women and 4v4 So. Atlantic National Championships. These styles will receive points, seeding and bids to the Las Vegas World Championships the following March....

8-man eligible pro division:
The 8-Man Eligible PRO Division, will be an INVITED ONLY division as the top 16 - 20 teams in the nation will receive personal invites from the MCFFU/USSSA to participate in the WC 8-Man Pro Division based on past and present national competition! All other divisions are open to all interested teams
Tournament sETUP:
The Las Vegas World Championships will be a Pool Play Format rounding off in a single elimination round on Sunday.
Some styles may begin on Friday, continued on Saturday with the top teams from each style/division advancing to "Championship Sunday".
There will be a 3 game guarantee for all styles competing...
