TAVARES, FL – January 16, 2012 – The Blue Dogs (PA) defeated Main Event (NY) 14-13 with offense, defense and special teams. All three phases played major parts in securing the 2011-12 9v9 Pro Championship title in Tavares, FL.
Anthony "White Lightening" Pomo led the way on offense with a TD reception and a 66 yard punt return in the 2nd half to seal the deal for the Blue Dogs. Defensive MVP Jim "Curly Top" Casterano led the charge on defense with consistent pressure and timely sacks...

Lights Out (NY) was just that - Lights Out! They dominated the Pro Open Division by going 6-0 and outscoring their opponents 150-43! They averaged 25 points per game on offense, while yielding just over 7 points a game on defense! QB Steve Mirasola (9) was sharp all weekend distributing the ball and guiding the offense. The MCFFU"16" Team Pro Division was introduced during the 2009-10 season and the WC in Miami, FL for select styles on the WC Circuit.
Here the top 16 teams with the most accumulated points based on WCS Circuit competition at the end of the each season will qualify for the "PRO" Division in the Miami World Championships!
Each year teams will compete on the WCS Circuit including NIT's and National Championships throughout the country; running from March to December. At the conclusion of the season, the top 16 teams will qualify for the "PRO" Division in the WC.
NOTE: All teams are eligible to compete in the Open Division - NO QUALIFYING PROCESS NECESSARY for the OPEN Division during the World Championships

QUALIFYING PERIOD:

Tournament sETUP - The World Championships will be a Pool Play Format rounding off in a single elimination round on Sunday.
All styles will begin on Friday, continued on Saturday with the top teams from each style/division advancing to "Championship Sunday". All teams will not compete on "Championships Sunday" - ONLY the top percentage of each style, which gives more meaning to the games played on both Friday and Saturday. There will be a 4 game guarantee for all competing styles...
