WHAT IS THE USA FLAG FOOTBALL CIRCUIT?
The USA Flag Football Circuit consists of a series of tournaments running from March to December and concluding with the World Championships in both Miami, FL and Las Vegas, NV for select styles. The World Championships are held from January to March. Teams will compete in various National Championships and National Invitationals scheduled throughout the USA for points, seeding and a chance to compete for the World Championship title of their select style.
HOW DOES MY TEAM QUALIFY?
To qualify for the World Championship Pro Division, your team must finish the season ranked in the top percentage of your select division (percentages are adjusted based on teams on the USA Flag Football Circuit). Teams are seeded based on total point accumulations, tournaments wins, wins and if necessary winning percentage. Check the tournament section for local and regional sanctioned events.
ARE OTHER TEAMS ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE IN THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHPS?
Yes, ALL TEAMS ARE ABLE TO COMPETE IN THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS AND ANY TOURNAMENT ON THE USA CIRCUIT. However, your team MUST qualify to compete in the PRO DIVISION of your select style. There will also be an OPEN PRO DIVISION available for teams that travel less (earning less than required points) and/or first time competitive teams looking to compete at the highest level. All other divisions are eligible to compete in any of the scheduled USA Pro Circuit events.
WILL THE TOP 16 EVER EXPAND?
Yes, the total number of spots available will expand based on the overall number of national participation. The more teams competing on the circuit for select styles, the more slots may be made available. This will be determined by the MCFFU National Competition Committee and the MCFFU Staff.
WHAT IS ROSTER CONTROL?
Teams may choose to excerise their right to secure top players on the circuit for the "Pro Division" only. The Roster Control (Franchise Rule) will allow teams to prevent top players from competing on other teams in the "Pro Division" while being a member of their roster. This rule only applies to the National Championships and the World Championships.
CAN MY TEAM EARN POINTS IN LEAGUE PLAY?
Teams may earn points by competing in SANCTIONED MCFFU Leagues. To have your league sanctioned please visit the Sanction your Tournament or League section of this site or contact the MCFFU at mcffu@mcffu.com.
