MCFFU: The Buddy Bowl (Charity Flag Football Series)

 

 

Buddy Bowl is now registered with MCFFU.  Buddy Bowl's mission is to support injured military and first responders through the annual Buddy Bowl Charity Flag Football Tournament Series.  The tournament is being played in 4 states in 2011 and we're looking to expand to others in 2012.  

Would be great to get the MCFFU membership to support the Buddy Bowl's mission either through playing in the Buddy Bowl and/or getting their respective leagues to donate to the cause.  Best time to get a hold of me during the week is 1:00pm PST/3:00pm EST at my wk number (858-210-3525) or anytime on the weekend on my cell (858-334-8038).  Look forward to speaking with you about how we can work together to help more of our injured troops and first responders.

BUDDY BOWL HISTORY

The Buddy Bowl was founded in 1977 in San Diego, CA as a fun way to annually reunite friends
who had a common interest in playing football. In 1999 the Buddy Bowl’s focus changed from
simply a reunion of friends to that of raising money for a worthy cause. In June of 2003 Buddy
Bowl Inc. was incorporated as a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit corporation dedicated to raising money for
military, law enforcement, and children’s related charities through the annual flag football
tournament series.

The Buddy Bowl Charity Flag Football Tournament Series is now played in
cities and towns across the nation to support our injured troops and first responders.
The Buddy Bowl is unique because it is the only annual event in the U.S. that raises money for
military and law enforcement personnel and their families through a community based flag
football tournament that includes both physically challenged and able-bodied participants.

The Buddy Bowl is open to both children and adult male and female competitors of all abilities.
