Truth behind the Vegas Rumors...
The Entire Story for Union Members

As some of you may have heard and or read, a malicious rumor was posted on another National organization’s web site attempting to sabotage the MCFFU Las Vegas Championship tournament and discredit our organization by posting on their front page that our tournament had been cancelled due to the Union not having any field permits.

After being confronted by our organization, they responded by posting on their message board that teams contacted them and stated that our tournament had been cancelled.  But rather than confirming this information; as usual they decide to run with it to assist in improving their national image and depleting ours.

Now, due to the confusion of two separate organizations hosting Las Vegas Tournaments at the same time, teams registered with the organization they were familiar with or whom they heard about first.

Yes, we cancelled our “Women’s Division” due to it being split in half between the two organizations with a minimum amount of teams playing overall.  So rather than using teams as pawns to combat another organization, we refunded the 2 (women) teams that registered with the Union their entry fee in time for them to register with the other organization who claimed to have all the women’s teams, but have yet to post any of them.

This national organization decided to use the canceling of a single division in our tournament (where it was canceled by the Union to provide those teams time to register with them before their deadline), and word it as though our entire tournament was canceled.  Not only that, but twice they gave ridiculous reasons as to why we had to cancel and are now scrambling around to cover their tracks.

The headline now reads, “Las Vegas, NV-Money Tournament -No Refs causes tournament to move to Reno” when in fact we have a full staff complete with Union and former AFA refs.  Understand that they do not host cash tournaments and we (MCFFU) do, which means that they are still referencing to our organization in a roundabout way when in fact, it is their organization that is seeking refuge in Reno, NV.

From day one, we understood that when confronted by any serious threat, these national organizations would implement their highly sophisticated business strategy of defaming their competitors name on their website(s).  Because if its posted on their site, it must be true.

Things of this nature are usually not addressed publicly, however due to their relentless efforts in portraying us nationally as an incompetent and unorganized organization by deleting the responses on their site and maintaining all negative posts attempting to convince teams of our cancellation, we felt that we should address this matter to our members and the rest of the flag community directly.

Being a National organization means that you have certain obligations to the game of flag whether you want them or not.  And to blatantly misuse your national influence in an attempt to convince teams that another organization's major event has been cancelled shows fear and your inability to compete on a business level as well as proving that there is truth in what we were saying all along….
