The Union’s Creed: For Anonymous Critics

The MCFFU took a major step this past weekend towards solidifying its self as one of the top National flag organizations in the country attracting 17 teams from 6 different states. In just over 6 months, the Union has created a network across the country comprised of elite leagues and organizations of various styles that is second to none and growing by the day. The strength of the Union is its teams, independent organizations and lastly the staff all working in unison to elevate the game of flag to the next level and bring about new and more effective changes for the betterment of the game of flag.

We currently have projects in line with some of the top 4-Man, 5-Man and Women’s organizations in the game, representing all corners of the country. Our goal is to unify the game of flag football and offer teams more value for their dollar than any other National organization. Simply put, your dollar goes further with the “U”.

Nevertheless, over the first few months of our existence we have faced criticism along with numerous attempts to discredit member’s credibility. We’ve been said to be dishonest, cheaters, and called a few other choice words, yet our teams continue to receive more in one tournament hosted by the Union as far as cash prizes, quality awards, better playing conditions, medical presence and overall customer service than most organizations offer in their entire existence. The Union is not a “Me” organization it’s an “Us” organization.

So far the Union has awarded our teams with over $15,000 in cash and the numbers will continue to grow, as does the organization. We offer our affiliate leagues and organizations 100% support and assistance and require little to nothing in return, but yet and still we are the ones you need to watch your back with, the dishonest ones and ones that cannot be trusted. The fact that we are even criticized for giving back to the teams is as about as ridiculous and superficial as the ones saying it.

We take care of our teams on and off the field because they have a choice as to where they spend their money and play and we understand this and operate with this mind. If you question our motives, why ask anti-union supporters? Why ask someone who has not participated in any of our events? Why ask someone without a clue? Talk to our teams and your questions will be answered.

Our critics can only disagree with some of our policies and views but they cannot, by no stretch of the imagination say they disagree or dislike what the Union stands for because its all team and league oriented. All of our actions and programs are conceived with the best interest of the teams, players and leagues in mind and how they will benefit first and far most. We are not telling you non-supporters or anyone else to play with us only and not play with other organizations because it contradicts what the Union stands for.

But what we are telling you is regardless of if you dislike or disagree with us for whatever reasons you may have, like a 600 lbs gorilla sitting in your living room, we have to be dealt with and criticizing and attempts to discredit our motives will not work. Our strength is in our numbers and we simply offer teams a cool alternative to the ordinary and operate with an open door policy for anyone to join. But as long as we continue to place the teams and leagues first, we cannot lose. See ya in the next city. Play for something, or gets noth'in – Desea vivo el juego.
