FAQ: About Roster Posts and Changes
******THERE WILL BE SOME MODIFICATIONS MADE TO MAKE THE PROCESS SIMPLIER AND MORE EFFECTIVE OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF MONTHS. THIS IS TO PROVIDE YOU WITH A GENERAL UNDERSTANDING OF HOW THE NEW SYSTEM WILL WORK FOR TEAM REGISTRATIONS AND ROSTER MANAGEMENT - MCFFU Staff
POSTING ROSTERS ONLINE: YOU MUST HAVE ALL PLAYER’S INFO COMPLETE AND ACCURATE TO COMPLETE YOUR TEAM’S REGISTRATION. ANY ROSTER CONTAINING FRAUDULENT, or INACCURATE PLAYER DATA, INCLUDING FALSIFIED ADDRESSES, PHONE NUMBERS, E-MAIL ADDRESSES OR DATES OF BIRTH WILL RESULT IN TERMINATION OF THE ROSTER AND REGISTRATION, AND FORFEITURE OF THE REGISTRATION FEE. YOU MAY NOT ENTER THE SAME ADDRESS and/or PHONE NUMBERS FOR ALL PLAYERS. YOUR REGISTRATION IS A LEGAL AFFIDAVIT OF ELIGIBILITY, WHICH IS DEPENDENT ON ACCEPTABLE RESIDENCY. ENTERING SUCH FRAUDULENT INFORMATION WILL RESULT IN TERMINATION OF THE INVALID REGISTRATION AND FORFEITURE OF THE REGISTRATION FEE. IF SUCH A ROSTER IS FOUND WITHIN A NATIONAL EVENT, THE TEAM WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND THE MANAGER WILL BE SUBJECT TO SUSPENSION. "TYPOS" ARE NOT AN ACCEPTABLE EXCUSE FOR INACCURATE INFORMATION. IT IS A MANAGER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT ROSTERS AND REGISTRATIONS ARE 100% ACCURATE. A team registration/roster is a legal document attesting to the eligibility of a team and/or players. WE DO NOT MAKE EXCEPTIONS TO OUR ROSTER RULES. ALL ROSTER CHANGES MUST BE MADE THROUGH THE ONLINE ISTS ROSTER CONTROL SYSTEM - AND ONLY PRINTED ROSTERS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT TOURNAMENTS. HANDWRITTEN PLAYER ADDITIONS, OR USING PLAYERS NOT ON THE PRINTED ROSTER, WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF THE TEAM. PLAYERS MAY BE REGISTERED TO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP PRO (Only) TEAMS FROM MULTIPLE STATES. NO BORDER EXEMPTIONS ARE REQUIRED IN THE PRO DIVISION JUST ROSTER LIMITS. ALL OTHER DIVISIONS (COMP – B, REC – C OR D-LEVEL TEAMS) MUST HAVE PLAYERS FROM WITHIN STATE BOUNDRIES ON OFFICIAL ROSTERS.
ROSTER CHANGES NOW ONLINE: Team managers must make all roster changes online at the MCFFU/USSSA ISTS Roster Control Center, using the team's ID and PASSWORD. No Faxes or E-mails will be accepted by the MCFFU. When teams register their teams on-line for MCFFU World Championship play (including all Qualifiers, States, Nationals, National Championships and/or World Championships), the roster is automatically locked and your roster movement will be limited and monitored by the MCFFU. Once a roster change is made, the team must print a new roster from the website to be accepted by any tournament or State Director. Official rosters must be printed directly from the website – NO EXCEPTIONS.
ADDING A PLAYER: Provided the player is not already on another registered team, you simply add the player and all data required through the Roster Control Center. Player date MUST be accurate. Inaccurate data will lead to disqualification of the player and team from the tournament participated in. HANDWRITTEN ADDED PLAYERS to your roster are ineligible. Having ineligible players on your roster, on your sideline, or in a game will disqualify your team! ALL players must be added through the MCFFU/USSSA Roster Control Center and you must present a recently printed roster, along with official identification and waiver forms to the tournament director prior to playing your first game in any MCFFU/USSSA sanctioned event. Official rosters must be printed directly from the website – NO EXCEPTIONS. Any team using players, which are not on file in the MCFFU or USSSA office and not posted accurately on-line will be disqualified and are subject to being permanently suspended from future participation in MCFFU/USSSA events. If the player is on another registered roster, the system will not allow the player to be added to your team until his (her) present team drops them. CAUTION: If you are attempting to add a player who has qualified in a higher division, the system will not allow the addition to a lower division. A qualified player can only be added to a team of equal or higher classification. (Players are now ranked based on team rankings) No roster changes may be made during a tournament or after the tournament begins. You may not add players until your participation in any tournament has concluded. Penalty: DISQUALIFICATION
RE-REGISTERING YOUR TEAM: Occasionally, due to injuries or attrition, teams choose to re-register and form a new team. To do this, you must e-mail the MCFFU office from the SAME E-MAIL ADDRESS that appears on your registration, and request us to terminate your present roster/registration. Be sure to include your team registration number in your e-mail or your request will not be granted. Our office will then delete your present registration. This makes all players on your former roster "Free Agents." They may then be added to your new registration, or another team's registered roster - provided the other team is of equal or higher classification and under the roster limit. If you choose to re-register, or form a new team, all prior qualifications, AND accumulated points are voided. You MUST qualify your NEW roster to participate in the MCFFU/USSSA World Championship Series.
DISBANDING YOUR TEAM: If you choose to disband your team and release your players, the team manager must e-mail or fax the MCFFU office giving us your team name, registration number, and password. Your roster will be terminated and your players will be released. At the end of each season, ALL PLAYERS are automatically released - and no notification is necessary.
UPON QUALIFICATION: Once your team has qualified (9-Man, 8-man, Screen or 5-man), you will be allowed only a CERTAIN AMOUNT OF ADDITIONS AND DELETIONS (TBA BY THE NATIONAL COMPETITION COMMITTEE) to your registered roster. Our online registration system automatically tracks and limits roster changes once your team has qualified. You will not be allowed to exceed these limits or be approved for inappropriate roster moves. When adding players for the World Championships, teams can ONLY add players who are residents of the state in which that team is registered. The initial roster has no such limitations. Should you have questions or problems contact the MCFFU office via e-mail at mcffu@mcffu.com. Under certain conditions, teams will be allowed to expand rosters based on total point accumulation. However, because the system counts adds and drops teams will likely need to e-mail us (MCFFU) to reset your counter when you have reached your add or drop limit. If your team has not qualified, you may make all the roster changes you desire as long as you do not exceed the required player limit.
FILL-IN PLAYERS: The MCFFU does not allow "fill-in" players. They are either are on your registered roster - or they are ineligible. If you release a player, that player cannot be re-added to your team for the remainder of that season.
DROPPED PLAYERS: Any player dropped from your roster during a season cannot be added back to your roster in the same season.
STATE OF RESIDENCE: MCFFU rules require that all players on teams participating on lower level teams come from within their state. Only PRO (A) team’s rosters CAN include out-of-state players. Once the roster has been submitted for the upcoming season, no out-of-state players can be added for National or WC tournaments; only players who are residents of the state in which that team is registered can be added.
NOTE: Players on PRO (A) rosters ARE NOT ELIGIBLE to participate in State Qualifiers or State Tournaments regardless of being on the roster, so be aware of the amount of out-of-state players you have on your official roster because the State tournament plays a major role in World Championship seeding. ***** State of residence is determined by a player’s official driver license, state ID, college ID or military ID ONLY. Youth divisions will verify players by the last attended school by the player in question.
PRESENTATION OF ROSTER: A copy of your printed MCFFU/USSSA registration/roster must be submitted to the tournament director prior to participation in every event. Only those printed players on your roster will be permitted to participate - no handwritten additions will be allowed. Participation by a player not on your roster results in immediate disqualification from the tournament, and possible disqualification from the World Championship Series for the remainder of the season. Players will be verified by official driver licenses, state ID’s, college ID’s or military ID’s ONLY
NEED A ROSTER COPY? If you need a copy of your team registration, you may obtain one by visiting our Roster Control Center - enter your team ID and Password and print another copy. ALL LETTERS in your password MUST BE CAPITALIZED.
