Ingredients for Building a True Naitonal Organization

Football is considered by many as being the ultimate team sport.  A well-functioning team can make a vision a reality and the mission meaningful. What's more, the stronger the team gets, the more efficient the practices can become and the chances of winning each game are greater.

In an effort to build the “Best Team in Flag Football”, the Union (MCFFU/USSSA) is spending more time searching, recruiting, interviewing and appointing the best individuals and organizations in the country to build a national foundation, grow the sport and unite regions.

The Main Ingredient for Building a True National Organization:

When the question is asked, “Who is the best national flag football organization?” the answer is: No one – It hasn’t been built yet.

Consider for a moment what a “true” national organization is and what it could possibly do for the game of flag football. The goal of the MCFFU is to have a high-performance team that delegates regional and state responsibilities to its national partners who are highly qualified and possess an entrepreneurial spirit along with a business mindset needed to accomplish more than what is expected or believed possible.

The strength of the national team, will allow the Union to educate itself from within as creative ideas are shared and implementation strategies are revealed.

The more qualified individuals and groups we have working together for the same cause, the same mission and goals; the clearer the vision becomes and the better the overall product and/or services are.  A national organization is only as good as the team it has behind it and the MCFFU/USSSA team, once complete will be the best in the game.

Remember, no one can run a true national organization alone. Perhaps the biggest oxymoron in flag is the term "National Organization." No organization currently operates in enough states to be considered national – until now.

The United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA)
By teaming with the USSSA, the Union now has a national partner with over 40 years of experience, access to millions of amateur athletes, national support from hundreds of directors, administration staff along with strong relationships within the recreation communities across the country.  

The USSSA also provides the most advanced technology available (ISTS System), which is needed to grow and manage competitive flag football as well as unite more states than ever before.   

With the national support of the USSSA, the MCFFU now as access to over 40 states and the ability to expand into even more.  So while the MCFFU uses its aggressive approach to promoting, growing and uniting flag football, the USSSA provides a strong, steady foundation in which to stand on.

The MCFFU has been dedicated to providing the best product in flag football since the beginning, and by teaming with some of the most accomplished names and organizations in recreational sports, the Union will gain more regional knowledge, increase brand equity, receive more creative ideas for optimum growth and development, while producing a better overall product.

Each Director brings to the Union, his/her personal uniqueness, creativity, experience and most importantly knowledge to add to a growing pool of national team members. 

With each state and region under the management of some of the most qualified individuals and groups we can team with, the national network becomes that much stronger and the product becomes that much better.

National Organizations and Companies Supporting the Union
Good organizations hear; excellent organizations listen. Understanding this, the Union is always looking to improve by receiving great ideas, suggestions and solutions from both players and partners. 

Issues arise, but each will be addressed accordingly.  The MCFFU currently has multiple projects in the works to improve overall operations. 

Some of the things we are working on to become better are: 

• Appointing the best Tournament Directors available to manage major MCFFU/USSSA events
• Introduce the National Official/Referee Division to handle training and assigning Union officials
• Offering more up-to-date on-line video and photos of national competition and off field activities
• Delegate more duties to State Directors and Head Officials for better overall management
• Providing faster seeding and scheduling via technology built specifically for the Union events
• Offering more national flag football news than any organization
• Provide a National Competition Committee to decide on universal rules, regulations and policies
• Reposition flag football within the sporting industry to appeal to a wider audience
• Streamline the national tournament circuit to make it easy to follow
• Teaming with X Flag Football to focus and help operate all MCFFU 5-Man operations
• Improve team management in tournaments by enforcing roster rules and policies
• Offer more valuable tournaments in attractive cities with the best facilities
• Make more National tournaments more convenient and highly visible
• Simplifying the team registration, payment and roster management process
• Build a Midwest NC and a Southern NC to coincide with the ENC and the WNC
• Working to have the WC Series outsourced to a sports management group in Seattle, WA
• Offer official World Championship Flag Football gear, products and accessories
• Being completely operating on-line by the summer of 2008 and more!

The MCFFU/USSSA will change the entire scope of flag football and offer a product that not only appeals to corporate and current players, but to an entirely different group of amateur athletes looking to compete.  What’s been done in flag football has been done and the things that have yet to be accomplished or considered impossible are what drive the Union.
