The MCFFU/USSSA Hall of Fame Game:

Hot Boys (TX) 19 - Metro Dawgs (VA) 2

The 2008 ENC Hall of Fame Game had the rematch of the 2007 9-Man World Championships; The Hot Boys from Texas facing the Metro Dawgs out of Virginia.  The Hot Boys defeated the Metro Dawgs in the WC2 by the score of 14-8, but still were doubted by the 9-Man community as to how good they really were.

In the HOF Game, the Hot Boys jumped out to an early 6-2 lead and never looked back on there way to a 19-2 win.  Two goal line stands by the Metro Dawgs were disrupted with jump balls in the enzone, where 2 different Hot Boys WR were not to be denied.

This game appeared to take its toll on both teams as the Hot Boys intensity decreased in there final two games, where they won close games, while the Metro Dawgs never could recover from the loss going 0-2-1 and missing the Sunday cut.

Championship Game

Packers (MD) 21 - Omni (NJ) 7

The Packers were clearly the favorites in the ENC heading into Sunday with 2 impressive wins on Saturday.  A solid defense and a consistent offense helped propel the Packers out of Maryland to the ENC Championship.

Omni held off the Hot Boys in the Semi-Finals to make it to the Championship game with an interception returned for a score late and prevented the Hot Boy's WR's from making any big plays has they had all day on Saturday with the strong pass rush.

Omni finished 4-2, with both losses coming at the hands of the Packers.

Tournament Notes:

The Force (NJ) went 2-1 on Saturday with one of the wins over the Metro Dawgs to make the final 6 after being predicted to go no better than 1-2.

Metro Dawgs, who were favored to be in the running for the title loss 2 and tied one with the Blaze (MD) and surprisingly did not make the final 6 cut on Sunday.

Carolina Connection loss a close game late (6-3), with a bad punt and a late score that keep them out of the 6th and final spot for Sunday.
